Our founder, Alex Liu, spent 10 years manufacturing traditional spice grinders, selling millions across the world and began to develop a deep understanding of the challenges of traditional spice grinding methods. Flavour’s mixing together when changing spices, lots of physical effort, having to use two hands to grind or crank, not at all convenient and makes a hell of a lot of mess.
So he set off to make something new. Something innovative in a field that has followed the same mechanics for centuries. The idea was ingenious in its simplicity, one spice grinder with interchangeable pods, designed to grind a wide variety of spices. And with that FinaMill was born.
